VIBRATIONALLY SPEAKING
Often times you will hear Holly and I speak about “vibrations”. So many times we have struggled with putting together posters or brochures advertising our events that focus on some capacity of vibrational healing. We fully recognize that a lot of you must wonder what the heck we’re talking about! I mean even the word “vibrational” does not even exist in spell check! Believe me when I tell you that we are very aware that not everyone truly understands this concept we have adopted as so natural in our lives! We do share a passion for wanting to teach you all about how vibrations surround us each and every day. Just because this is a common understanding for us does not necessarily mean that it is to everyone else! Imagine that!
Have you ever spent a day at the waters edge just tossing stones into the water? Isn’t it fascinating to watch all the ripples in the water after that first stone was tossed? Do you ever wonder how far these ripples go? Do they in fact stop or do they just keep on going?
As children, did you ever make a primitive telephone from paper cups and string? Wasn’t it fabulous when you could actually hear a person’s voice in that silly little cup you held close to your ear?! These are just a few examples of vibrations at work in our lives.
The ripples in the water are an excellent example as to how vibrations travel. Now consider this. Even our words hold vibrations! Sound is a form of vibration and spoken words are made up of sounds. One of the most fascinating things I’ve learned in Numerology is the vibration of words. All of the letters in the alphabet are assigned numeric value and this numeric value produces a vibration.
Several years ago I was the operations manager for a company in Truro. I managed a staff of 16 people. During my time with this company I studied the work of Kenny Blanchard. Kenny wrote the series “The One Minute Sales Manager.” His philosophy was simple! Instead of running around correcting your staff and finding the faults in all they did…choose to run around finding all the things they did right and use your words to tell them so! The concept seemed so foreign to me but after some practice I found it worked beautifully! The times I found my staff doing something right produced more of the same behavior. My positive words of encouragement were making an incredible difference in my work atmosphere! Everyone benefited from this style of management! What a concept!
Twenty years later I am seeing the depth of this concept so much more clearly. Consider how powerful it is to set positive vibrations into motion! How do we do this? With our words!
The next time you are going through the check out at the grocery store you might want to find something positive to compliment your cashier with. Guess what? You’ve just taken her/his vibration from a low one to a higher more positive one! Not only do you feel good for recognizing his/her efforts you’ve also made them feel really good! And guess what? They are going home to their Mom’s about it! Maybe Mom has had a bad day and as a result was suffering a low vibration. Just by sharing their recognition Mom’s vibration automatically soars to a more positive one! And guess what? Now in comes Dad whose got a crank on after a long day and when he learns of this recognition his vibration is raised as well! Your one compliment to the cashier has now positively impacted 3 people and has helped to take them from a low vibration to a higher one! Now let’s look at the effect this cashier has now had on every other person in the line up! Her mood is better since I complimented her so she’s going to have a more positive effect on everyone she serves that day! How huge is that?! No more tomatoes at the bottom of our bags! Yeah!
This is not rocket science! This is simple physics. Like attracts like. Positive vibrations produce more of the same. Your words have an extremely powerful impact on the people around you. You have a tremendous amount of power to influence your environment and the environment of others in a very positive way!
Stay tuned for my next article where we will examine various words from a Numerological perspective. We’ll explore how some of the most common words we use every day either positively or negatively impact our lives.
