VENUS RETROGRADE
March 6th to April 17th
Beginning on March 6th….the Planet of Venus will go retrograde.
What does that mean? It means it will be ‘appearing’ to go backwards in the sky
Will everyone be affected by it?
Yes – it is affecting all of humanity at the same time.
Is that necessarily a bad thing?
Absolutely not. It will force us to make some very definite decisions ESPECIALLY about relationships!
Natal Venus (where it was at the moment of our birth) represents “What we like…what makes us happy…what makes our heart sing.” In a Male’s birth chart it represents what type of ‘female’ he is looking for. It doesn’t mean that she will be of ‘that sign’….but will have the traits of the sign his Venus is in. ie…if his Venus is in Aries….he would be looking for a woman with the characteristic traits of an Aries - - - leader, pioneering, flamboyant, firey and exciting.
Transiting Venus (as it is moving through today) retrogrades every 2 years. Generally what it does….is to get us to ‘think’ about what is important to us in life. It will often get us to ‘re-visit’ some past relationships and to seriously think about what we’ve learned from them…..or whether we have really had a ‘closing’ from that relationship. Lots of time during a Venus Retrograde we "coincidentally" run into that individual.
Some of you may already be starting to ‘feel’ the influence of this upcoming Venus Retrograde, and an old flame/friend’s name seems to keep coming to the surface. You seem to be constantly running into people who that person knew. I suspect through the Venus Retrograde there will have to be some closure made.
Often we find people will come back into our lives…..that sometimes we haven’t seen for years. It allows us to see them in a different light. Some of us may even wonder - - What did I EVER see in him/her? OR…there may be a meeting where you realize that the emotional upset you once felt about this person has now gone and YOU have grown as a result of that relationship....
One of the things through a Venus Retrograde is that our ‘tastes’ in clothing, colors, jewellery…the finer things in life…..we simply see it from a different set of eyes it seems. So this is also often a day of ‘cleaning dagwood’s closet’ - - where we throw things out to make room for the new! Often we attribute it to ‘spring cleaning’ when in effect, we really are attuning to the Venus Retrograde.
When Venus does Retrograde it will begin at 14 Deg Aries….so our Aries friends who were born very early April will probably feel some of the greatest pull from this Retrograde at the beginning of the Retrograde.
It will actually retrograde (go backwards)…right on back to 29 Degrees Pisces…which means it will run something like this:
14 Deg Aries - > 13 Deg Aries -> 12 Deg Aries -> 11 Deg Aries -> 10 Deg Aries….etc…….right on back to 3 Deg Aries -> 2 Deg Aries -> 1 Deg Aries -> 0 Deg Aries -> 30 Deg Pisces -> 29 Deg Pisces……
Anybody born between 20 March to 5 April….will have this Venus come through their Sun sign sometime during the retrograde. Our Pisces friends (around mid-late March will feel the effect more when it gets to the end of its retrograde cycle which is 17th April)….
I ‘suspect’ we may not feel a very big pull from it ‘starting’…but I suspect it will end with a BANG on April 17th. And I think the greatest signs we will see will be within the money markets……thereby affecting government. (Will be interesting to see if they call an election then….cause I suspect it will get a little ugly middle April within government and big business)…I can see the ‘hate’ campaigns already building…
Even though we may not be an Aries or a Pisces.....it will still happen somewhere within our chart. And WHERE it retrogrades is where it will have the greatest effect on us.
The reason I specifically say that…is that this retrograding Venus….is coming back to create a SQUARE with one of the other planets affecting business right now. Maybe it’s the BANG we need to get things moving and get something done! Lots of cheap talk seems to be happening right now. All we are hearing is “We are gonna………..” I suspect the ‘Run Out of Time syndrome’ is coming near the end of the Venus Retrograde…
And hey…we’re coming up to our next Mercury Retrograde (May 7th)….isn’t there ALWAYS something to do with an election through the Mercury Retrograde??? Sheesh!!!!!
So folks….if you start to wonder why you are ‘cleaning out’…..that’s the reason! Venus is making you decide exactly HOW important is this: house, clothes, old papers, books, relationships…..you are simply doing your “Venus” Spring Cleaning!!! Any relationship that has been teetering on the edge may simply fall over…..Happy Dusting!!
As we get closer to the time of it beginning to turn back around (17th April)….I’ll write more on it then…….
