SPECIAL DECEMBER 2009
Well, we certainly have an interesting lineup of planets to play with in December…..
We started very early in the month with the FULL MOON – wasn’t that spectacular! A beautiful bright orange colored moon. That moon of course was in the sign of Gemini. We know that the people who are Sagittarius is having their birthday now….so the sign directly across from it (our full moon) ? - - Gemini. This moon stresses the importance of taking time to play - - even in this holiday season!
Right along with that we had another planet change around - - Uranus - - planet of UNEXPECTED EVENTS! Uranus had been retrograding (appearing to go backwards) since July 1st…..now its moving forward again. It’s in the sign of Pisces….so our Pisces friends will be very affected by this as it happened on Dec 2nd…especially Pisces who have their birthday around mid- March. Clients often say to me: “Unexpected Events…what can I expect?” That’s WHY they are called ‘unexpected events’ - - cause most times we have absolutely NO idea what they could possibly be in our wildest dreams.
Unexpected events doesn’t have to be BAD events. As a matter of fact, a lot of the unexpected events turn out to be wonderful events. When we look at our chart, depending on the aspect this planet makes will determine if the event will be Great…or ummmm not so great. Pisces is a WATER sign…so we can be guaranteed it will affect our Water sign friends - - Scorpio & Cancer. WATER element in astrology plays nicely with EARTH element….so it means it will perhaps be okay for our friends who are earth signs – Capricorn, Taurus & Virgo. WATER signs doesn’t play very nicely with FIRE signs and/or AIR signs…so the unexpected events may slow those people down somewhat - -FIRE = Leo, Aries & Sag, AIR = Gemini, Libra & Aquarius.
It is because of this Uranus that we had that full rain storm….and lots of wind. Weather will be all over the map for the next few days until the vibration of Uranus changing around starts to settle down. It also means time feels like it will speed again for a bit, at least until Uranus settles in (in about a week).
Moving on a little further into the month we have the Planet MARS (planet of aggression) starting to retrograde on Dec 20th….and that will take us up to March 10th (so I’ll write more on that as we go along). If you want to know a little more about this read the article I wrote earlier called “What’s the Lesson” – where I talk about Mars and how it is affecting our inner need to get going on something. Probably isn’t going to happen until March when Mars turns around but that doesn’t mean we can’t at least be ‘thinking’ about how to tackle the issue.
Moving yet further into the month…we will be experiencing a MERCURY retrograde through Christmas this year. Yipeeeeee!!!! So..what does that mean? It means get all of your Christmas plans in order previous to it beginning…..The retrograde takes place from December 21st to January 15th. Communication will be soooo off at this time of year…..allow yourself to laugh - - don’t take anything too serious. When plans get moved all over the place…sit back and laugh…go along for the ride. Blame it on the planets! Now that you know communication will be the pits - - make sure YOUR plans are all in place….that way, if others mess up you will be holding the original paper to show them what the plans were suppose to be.
At the end of the month - - we get yet ANOTHER FULL MOON!!! Because it is the 2nd full moon in a month - - we call it a BLUE MOON (hence the comment – once in a blue moon) as it doesn’t happen very often.
It is also a time of a LUNAR ECLIPSE which is rated a “4” strength by Astrologers. That’s quite a high rating. A Lunar Eclipse asks us to close down something - - so an outflow of the old (interesting for New Years eve huh)
In the actual birth chart for Canada, this eclipse creates a huge pull on how Canada is viewed in world relationships. The eclipse takes place at 10 Degrees Cancer – how does it affect your chart? To end a year on a Cancer/Capricorn line…leads me to believe that as we come into 2010 we are going to start to see a lot of Females stepping up to the plate (as the sign of Cancer represents females & Capricorn represents business). That automatically made me question what Oprah was up to….and what about Sarah Paylin with her book….so perhaps we should keep a close watch on the women in power in the year of 2010. Once a month I will feature a particular women in power: ie Oprah, Hilary Clinton, etc. Anybody you would like to see a chart on in the coming year? Pick a female in the spotlight…lets find out more about her. We are coming into the YEAR OF WOMEN!!!!
