JANUARY REVIEW
Jan 1st -16th 2010
We have an exciting line up of planets this year! The year kicked off with a famous Blue Moon/Eclipse pattern on New Year’s Eve – taking us into the new year of 2010. The next Blue Moon will be in 2028 – as you can see, it is quite a rare event. This also showed as a very positive event (certainly for Canada) as it will change the way the rest of the world views us. There will be something very important coming to Canada this year.
The December 31st eclipse/blue moon happened on the axis of Cancer/Capricorn. The sign of Cancer represents females whereby Capricorn represents business. Stay tuned for some very important events this year announcing females coming to the forefront. It is with this in mind that I created the “Who Am I” articles using Females as a base this year.
We came into 2010 during a Mercury Retrograde and of course we are still going through it. Mercury is presently sitting in the sign of Capricorn so communication (represented by Mercury) around business (which is represented by Capricorn) is really messy right now. There is always something that makes me chuckle during a Mercury Retrograde because often it connects to people/places/things that have no idea there is a Mercury retrograde going on or what it means. So they can’t figure out what the problem is. It wasn’t surprising when I received (via postal) a survey (to be completed online) by HRM – and when I went to do my civil duty, to fill out the form, there was no such website. Mercury retrogrades become laughable after awhile. The Universe really does have a warped sense of humor
Some of you may note I will be teaching an astrology class online in January - - but you can be sure it is scheduled AFTER the mercury retrograde which ends January 15th.
Every year there are two specific astrological signs highlighted for the year. This year, universally chosen, is Capricorn & Cancer. Keep watch Capricorns, there are new openings coming your way. Pay attention Cancer, you’ll be tugged along for the ride.
Of course, as I have said so many times before - - just because you are not a Capricorn or a Cancer – doesn’t mean you won’t be affected. Ie I’m an Aquarian (can’t ya tell lol) but my moon sign at the moment of my birth was in the sign of Cancer – so I will be very much affected by this eclipse pathway. We all have Capricorn/Cancer axis somewhere within our charts. That axis will be what is highlighted this year.
Mid January (15th) starts off our first Eclipse pathway at 25 Deg Capricorn. We won’t ‘visually’ see this happening in the sky here in Canada as it is centered over the Middle East spreading into Asia, engulfing China, even up into Russia. I suspect we will see some new trade being offered from that part of the world. Also watch weather patterns in that part of the world….eclipses have a tendency to send along really weird weather.
Canada (as a country) doesn’t have any planets near the 25 Deg Capricorn eclipse line, but the US certainly does. They have Pluto (planet of endings) right at that eclipse pathway, so I suspect we will hear of some issues of trade happening. There will definitely be new talks open due to situations that will arise around that time period.
This is getting into Mundane Astrology (looking at how planetary alignments affect government and trade). I don’t profess to be a Mundane Astrologist – but its always fun to watch and see what happens. I hope to study that when I’m about 80 <ggls>
On a personal front – people who were born between 13th – 19th January (Capricorns) will be the individuals most affected by this eclipse. Everything in life is in balance so if we look at the sign of Capricorn, we also have to look at the sign directly across as being Cancer. Cancerians born 7th-12th July will also be majorly affected.
We entered 2010 with a Mars Retrograde (and still in it). Mars is our planet of aggression. I’m asking people to be extremely careful of turning that anger (aggression) inward. Mars is presently retrograding at 19 Deg Leo. I keep hearing in my head “Hurry up and wait!!!!” and I have no doubt this is what people are experiencing. Rather than turning the anger inward, try to deal with it one piece at a time because Mars will turn direct (stop retrograding) on March 10th where all that inward anger will explode. You can work with this – working with it a little bit at a time. If you deal with it this way….you won’t experience the Kaboom that will take place when Mars releases on March 10th - - its your choice.
Again I say, we are ALL dealing with this. But the people MOST affected are Leo’s born from July 24th – 15th Aug. See above…where I talk about everything in balance…so we have to look at the sign directly across from Leo which is Aquarius. Aquarians born 21st Jan to 10th February - - - try to deal with this anger one step at a time.
In the summer of 2009, I wrote an article called “Spin, Spin, Spin” where I talked about 3 planets sitting together – simply spinning. Thank goodness we are starting to get some relief from that as Jupiter (planet of expansion) is pulling away from Chiron (Feeling of that wounded warrior). This is giving us a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel. At least now, we should be starting to think about possibilities of change.
Saturn will retrograde Jan 13th – I’ll write more about that in a couple of weeks……
One final word on eclipses – Jan 6th 2010 (today) we should be reviving some memories that took place in February 2008. We had an eclipse then and right now, we have a planet going over that exact spot…..hopefully reviving some thoughts we may have had at that time. In Feburary/08 we probably put an idea/suggestion on a back-burner. This is the time to pull it out and review it again…….
