Beware the Ides of March

Not really….but I bet it got your attention…didn’t it?

Many people are not fussy about the month of March for some reason.  Personally, I love it.  It is one of my favourite times of year as it offers so much diversity.  One day it can be very stormy, and the next day it offers the wonderful feeling of warmth of spring.  It allows our days to lengthen.  It allows for the buds to appear on the various trees.  And…often we begin to see tulips, daffodils, crocuses, and even sometimes primroses to appear.  How could anyone not love the promise of what lies beneath the surface as the flowers begin to emerge.

We see the NEW MOON enter our skies on Friday, March 4th.   I have overheard many people talking about how long this winter was.  Obviously, I must have missed something.  Our winter really began at the New Moon in February (around Groundhog day).  Any time a specific weather begins at a New Moon…..it often stays relatively the same until the New Moon of the following month.  So yes, its time to let it go…..

As I entered my Dentist office today I had to stop in the parking lot as the birds were singing at the top of their lungs.  They are obviously happy for this weather change coming with this New Moon on Friday.

Our next FULL MOON is on March 19th 3:10pm (Atlantic time).  And the following day, Sunday 20th, is when we can expect SPRING EQUINOX (8:21pm Atlantic Time).  What does that signify?   It signifies when the Sun enters the sign of Aries.  So, if you are able to plan ‘when’ to have your child….if you want your child to be a Pisces, it has to be before March 20th.    If you want your child to be an Aries….it has to be after 8:21pm on March 20th.

Remember last spring when I explained to everyone that they may feel very pulled in opposite directions?   We are coming into that same state by mid-later March.  We have two planets opposing each other.  So, in the sky it looks like this:

                         Jupiter/Aries  ---------------    Saturn/Libra (Retrograding)

We all will feel this somewhere within our charts.  It represents our wanting to move forward (Jupiter)….and being pulled in the opposite direction due to our feeling of responsibility (Saturn).

This may indeed even be a re-visit to last spring.  The interesting part about our ‘re-visiting’…is that presently Saturn is retrograding which means it has lost some of its power.  This in turn means that Jupiter (planet of expansion) holds the most power in this tug of wills.

Jupiter opened a lot of opportunities for each of us last year.  Some of the people stepped up to the plate, and some others chose to stay behind and attend to what they perceived as their ‘responsibilities”.  This is giving you yet another reprieve and opportunity.  Perhaps you have now re-thought the process and may choose to make a different decision.  Or, perhaps you realized you indeed did make the correct original decision last year.

By the time we get to mid-May, this opposition will have broken, so we really have a 2 month window of opportunity here.

It will show quite evidently in your chart, how and where this essentially will happen in your life.  it can never really show us 'how' it resolves...as that is where free choice comes in.  But, it can show us where the opportunities lie within your chart, and whether there really is a true obstancle there...or is it simply a 'perceived' obstacle?  There is quite a difference.  It also shows us the lesson that is involved here.  Will you be able to discern the lesson as it sits in front of you?

We have a Mercury Retrograding starting on March 30th, so please mark your calendars.  This retrograde will happen until 23rd April.  Be extremely careful what you sign….or anything you purchase during this time.  The difficulty with purchasing something through a Mercury Retrograde, means that if it blows up, it will perhaps blow up at the NEXT Mercury Retrograde.

Luckily this year we only experience 3 Mercury Retrogrades.  This one…and the other two are:
4 Aug-26th Aug   and   24 Nov-14 Dec……

March is a fantastic month…….enjoy the newness of spring !!!
