You Just Might Be Normal…..
By Ann Perry
So here it is the fall of 2009. For most of us the summer seems to have slipped right by us leaving us to wonder “what the heck was that all about?!” Holly nailed it when she said it would be the summer of our discontent. She was of course referring to the weather. I hate it when she’s right.
The autumn not only brings colder days and dying leaves. The autumn brings us shorter days too. As a society we feel the need to cram as much into a day as we can. These shorter days can make some of us feel a little frustrated by how little we get done before the sun goes down. The fall is often the most challenging of seasons for us all to simply live in the moment.
Once again I feel compelled to quote a song written by Alabama….
“I’m in a hurry to get things done. Oh I, rush and rush until life’s no fun.
All I really ‘gotta do is live and die but I’m in a hurry and don’t know why!”
Why is it that I always hear that song while rushing from one place to another in my car?!
Anyway…the point is that we all feel a little uneasy in the fall. Some of us find this to be our favorite time of year while others dread the reality that winter is just around the corner. There is a logical reason for this uneasiness you may be feeling.
For centuries Numerologists have observed the Universal Year Cycles that exist. Every year on January 1st. the earth moves into a new Universal year with a new theme attached to that year. This theme will affect the world’s population equally. This past year has been a Universal year of 2 which asks us globally to partner up with people. We are being challenged to be patient and more diplomatic in all areas in our lives. How has this Universal year challenged you personally this year? What partnerships did you have to work on?
As the calendar ticks on from January 1st. so does the effects of the Universal year. It weakens with intensity as it wanes into the fall which brings me to my point! All of us universally are feeling this wane of the 2 energy. We are all wondering “what next?” Somewhere in our biological and spiritual make up is a clock that says the time has come for change. The leaves know it. The birds know it. (now there’s a species who have it together! They just fly south and forget about the winter! Mental note to self: Be more like birds!)
This feeling of change also touches us personally in the fall. Although the universe is entering a year of 3 we are all entering into a new “Personal Year” all our own full of new and different energies and influences. This new influence for 2010 has not been experienced by you since the year 2001! Take a look back at what you were experiencing in the year 2001 and it will give you a glimpse of what may be to come for you in some form this year coming. If you weren’t a happy camper in the year 2001 it’s time for you to examine how you can make 2010 different. What have you learned about life since then? What life lessons have you experienced over the last 9 years that you can apply to this coming year? How can you manifest a better experience for your life?
If you are feeling like changes are in the air….you just might be normal!
If you are feeling like you just want to sleep and curl up with a book….you just might be normal!
If all of the sudden you feel the need to change your career immediately…you just might be normal!
If you develop an unexpected interest in a course of study…you just might be normal!
If all of the sudden you start to understand your kids….you just might be normal!
If all of the sudden you DON’T understand your kids….you’re waaaay more than normal!
The reality of this is that the need for change is predictable in the fall. We all know it. We all sense it. We all feel it and we all need to be ready for it. Change is such a good thing! Embrace it! If you are in a challenging place in your life…be grateful that it’s only a cycle and “this too shall pass!”
I refer to my Numerological Chart on a monthly basis. I consider it to be my GPS! It is such a great reference when the road seems a bit overwhelming. Numerological and Astrological charts are wonderful road maps. They illuminate the path for us. They shed so much light on why we are feeling these weird and unexplainable changes around us. They define when these feelings will pass and when “normalcy” will return!
The truth is…..if you’re feeling a little uneasy with the change of seasons….you just might be normal.
