WHAT DIFFERENT ASTROLOGY SIGNS
CHOOSE FOR READING PLEASURE
Did you ever realize that our inner being advises us what to read? Have you ever walked into a Chapters/Indigo bookstore and found yourself slightly wandering to a particular section?
Maybe you are looking for a particular astrology sign as a mate. Where do you find him/her in a bookstore? What sections are they easily found?
Bookstores is such a “Mercury” thing to do. Mercury is the planet of communication and books/magazines fall under that category. Where we find Mercury in our Natal Chart tells us a lot about our interest or non-interest in bookreading. If Mercury is very strong in your chart – you are a HUGE reader. If Mercury has lots of difficult aspects within your chart, you probably have a difficult time trying to focus and keep your mind on reading. If Mercury was retrograding at the time of your birth, you may have a difficult time trying to get your point across to other people.
When a child is born during a Mercury retrograde, they may have some difficulties in their beginning years of school. There is another study of astrology called “Progressions”….where we align one day of a person’s life and consider it a year in planetary movement. So using the techniques of progression, if a child is born with a Mercury retrograde we can progress the chart forward to see when a child/adult will be able to think/focus/learn with ease. Sometimes we hear a parent say, “I’m concerned that my child is slow in learning to talk” – this could simply be a Mercury retrograde within the child’s natal astrology chart…..and a parent may want to invoke extra help for a period of time to help the child – at least until that Mercury retrograde turns around.
Let me give you an example: In 2003, Mercury went retrograde from Apr 26th – May 20th. Let’s say a child was born May 15th 2003. (as we can see Mercury was retrograding at the time of this child’s birth). We said, using progression techniques 1 day = 1 year; from the child’s birth (May 15th) to the end of the retrograde period (May 20th) that equals 5 days. This means the first 5 years of the child’s life, they may have a bit of a problem focusing with their communication skills as they would still be under that Mercury retrograde aspect. On their 5th birthday….this would be eliminated and focus/reading would easily return to the child. This is one of the reasons I have a difficult time with the label of “A.D.D” - - it may simply be a planetary disorder at the moment of the child’s birth…that changes as time progresses.
But I digress from our original topic; let us get back to the Chapters Bookstore to see where each of the astrological signs may be hanging out:
If you are looking for a Fire Sign – Aries, Leo or Sagittarius – where will you find them?
ARIES - certainly not going to find them in anything dowdy. They want to be up and at ‘em. Aries make great sales people…..so any kind of Business Book that teaches about Sales/Management techniques. Pioneering, Rock Climbing and times of adventure will be high on their list. You won’t find an Aries in any couch-potato reading section.
LEO – likely anything to do with Fashion, Color or Makeup! Leo’s love makeup…and everything that goes along with it! Because of the influence of Color, you may even find them in the “Home Decorating” section – anything ‘creative’ would fall in the Leo realm.
SAGITTARIUS – ohhhh let’s talk about far-away places. Places that allow one to dream of escape and the feeling of freedom! You may even find them in the Spirituality section – as they are generally very ‘high-minded’ and influenced by the spirituality theme.

If you are looking for an Earth Sign – Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn – where will you find them?
TAURUS – They may walk into the store originally intending to go to the Business section, but somehow they find themselves in the Gardening section. Often you can find them in the Cooking section as they are all about the ‘presentation’ of anything. You may even find them in the Dressmaking detailing section. But if you ask them – they will say “Ohhh I am on my way to the Business section, just stopped here for a moment.”
VIRGO – (ruled by the planet of Mercury) is probably in the office meticulously going over the details of the book orders. Because of their massive attention to detail they are matching all of the electronic orders with where they are being shipped. If they are not working in the store, you will most likely find them in the “Diet and Exercise” section - reading through all of the "Label" contents of each recipie.
CAPRICORN – Most likely over in the Business section – how to increase your wealth would hold a lot of information for them. Plus, if you check out the “Woodworking” section you may find one or two of them there. Capricorns have a huge affinity to Wood.

If you are looking for an Air Sign – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – where will you find them? First of all, the people who work in the bookstore are likely to be an Air sign as they are usually some of the greatest readers in the world!
GEMINI – (ruled by the planet of Mercury)…will be the person who knows where each section is easily. They can talk on each subject. They will be the sign who will flit from one section to the next – can ya catch me?
LIBRA – Let’s talk peace and quiet and things that are routine. They may even be found in the Psychology section as they check out how to settle the mind. Art and Photography is generally a good interest of theirs as they look at the beauty of all things around them. When all else fails, they will settle in the ‘Law” section – as in the Laws of Nature.
AQUARIUS – What’s up and coming and goes BHAM! They’d be in the Electricity & Electronics section - - What’s new…and what’s coming around the corner? Anything to do with the Internet is high on their listing…as they are generally 5 years ahead of their time in their thinking. This means they are only interested in new and upcoming inventions….forget about yesterday….its gone so you won't find them in the History Section!

If you are looking for a Water Sign – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces – where will you find them?
CANCER – They are probably the people who are sitting back in the chairs near the “Family & Home” section. They make great people-watchers and they would be extremely happy in the “Homeowners” section detailing some of the Real Estate around the world.
SCORPIO – Definitely find Scorpios in the True Crime or the Scandals that are happening around. Frank Magazine/Enquirer section perhaps? What about things such as CSI Investigative section dear Scorpios? You may even find them in the bondage section secretly checking between the various pages.
PISCES - They usually are the people sitting over by the New Age/Psychic/After-life section…quietly thumbing through the pages to read about getting in touch with your Intuition. Also, the Romance or Poetry part of the store is a good place to catch up with a few of our Pisces friends.
Next time you're at a Chapters - you can easily guess what Astrological sign is standing next to you....simply by the book of interest they have in their hands. Have fun!
