DID MIKE WALLACE
FULFILL HIS PURPOSE
Born: May 9 1918 3:30am Brookline Mass
Died: April 7 2012 8:00pm
Anyone who has ever watched ’60 Minutes” will remember this CBS newsman. The Associated Press remembers him as a man who: was dogged in his approach and was merciless in his report.
But what does his chart truly say? Was his purpose, according to his chart, see him fulfilling his purpose? Or, was this a man, who fell off his ‘track of purpose’ and simply ends in a different avenue of life, versus what was previously written in his birthchart?
Let’s take a look at his chart:
Elements: Modalities:
Fire: 4 (Chiron, North Node) Cardinal: 2 (Chiron)
Earth: 4 Fixed: 6
Air: 2 Mutable: 4 (north node)
Water: 2
Psychological Pattern:
Growth: 6
Security: 2
Stimulus: 1
Love: 2
When I looked at his chart, this very first thing that caught my eye was the fact that right up near the very top (mid-heaven line) we have the North Node in Sagittarius. It’s the only thing that sits up near the top of the chart.
That automatically answered the question – Did he do what he came to do? Our North Node in our chart shows us our sense of purpose for this lifetime. The Midheaven line (the one going straight up to the top of the chart) in my opinion, is one of the most important lines in the whole chart. It is the line closely related to our ‘career status”. North Node is Sagittarius tells us – it is our purpose to bring ‘truthfulness’ out into the world. This man had an innate, inner drive to do just that.
So, did he build a chart that would allow him to do that?
He is a double Taurus (Sun in Taurus – 2nd house and Moon in Taurus 1st house) . Isn’t that a huge sign of stubbornness? He wasn’t taking ‘no’ for an answer. I would think he had a fantastic power of focus. When we look at his “Modalities” (see above) he has 6 in Fixed - - he wasn’t moving from topic! He was fixed in opinion and was definitely going to make that happen.
He also had 6 in Fire (see Elements above). That fire burned deep in his soul. And yes, we do know he was double Taurus (which is earth) – he still had more fire in his chart than he did earth signs.
Then we look at his “Psychological Pattern” (see above). He also has 6 in Growth! This is about ‘independence’ and always having something on the horizon to ‘grow to’. This man was driven. Having him bored was not a good thing. I bet he didn’t sit still very long.
One thing that really caught my eye was the Mercury Retrograde in the 1st house (As House). It is the only ‘retrograde’ planet in his whole chart. I suspect this may have stunted his vocabulary in his early life. Once he gained control of his vocabulary skills though, there was no stopping him! According to his chart, I suspect this started to improve somewhere around the age of 7 (as this can be proven in a few places within his chart). With this early problem in communication skills, perhaps this worked in his favour as he may have felt he had something to prove.
Looking at his 5th (V) house – the house of creativity shows he has Neptune there (sometimes seen as planet of illusion) and also Saturn (sense of responsibility). I suspect he would sit and dream up a plan (Neptune) and then Saturn would kick in and he would make it a reality. With that double Taurus energy, he certainliy would not let himself fail.
Suddenly I was noticing all these '6's' in his chart and I decided to simply add up his numerological profile. Wow - he's a 33/6 with all that Vision and Expression energy! Perhaps Ann can explain a little further on that.
Did this man live his dream? I would say – absolutely! Did he fulfill his purpose – I would say absolutely! Wouldn’t we all like to ‘live our dream’ and die knowing that this lifetime we completed our task!
