Well, the year of 2011 is almost over! Yeah!!!
I know, I know – I can hear my late Grandmother saying - - Don’t wish your life away…be in the moment etc. Okay – I’m in the moment and I’m still happy for the new moon on Christmas Eve, and then Jupiter changing on Christmas Day.
Numerologically it’s been a ‘restrictive’ year of that ‘4’ energy and from an astrological perspective it’s been a restrict year due to Jupiter retrograding in Taurus for almost half the year. Jupiter is the planet of expansion…Taurus is dealing with how secure we feel, so when Jupiter retrogrades in this sign we’re not going anywhere! The world just simply feels like we are spinning and waiting for the merry-go-round to stop so we can get off. How many of you have felt like that since Fall? Without a doubt, we are seeing more money going ‘out’ – than money coming ‘in’.
We will see another Jupiter retrograde ending part of 2012 but it won’t be as restricting because it will be out of the sign of Taurus and into the sign of Gemini; which means it will simply rein in the sometimes spastic energy of the duality of Gemini.
NEW MOON EFFECTS – December 24th :
So let’s get an up and close look at this New Moon - - did I mention YEAH when I think of that? The New Moon will be stationed at 2 deg Capricorn. Capricorn, on the world stage, we know, surrounds business. This means coming into the new year (simply because we are now in the Christmas season) business should be up and rolling into a busy time.
All earth signs – specifically Capricorns (late Decembers) – but also the Virgos (later August) and Taurus (later April) should feel like a door has just opened for them. What NEW change do you want to happen in your life?
The water signs – specifically Pisces (late February) and also Scorpios (late October) will also feel the wonderful pull of this New Moon. Cancers (which is an opposite sign to Capricorn) will feel a pull in a direction that perhaps they had not thought of before. Still a ‘new opening’ - - just one you didn’t necessarily see coming.

JUPITER TURN AROUND – December 25th
Do I hear a drum roll in the background (places hand by ear)…see I knew some of you would do that lol
BUT….before I get to the Jupiter turn-around…I just realized another thing!
We enter 2012 without anything…….retrograding!!!!! Triple, triple, triple YEAH!!! We very seldom ever see that happening. Generally there is at least one planet retrograding at any given time. (okay, happy dance now please) lol
Our next planet up to retrograde will be Mars – but that won’t be until January 24th! That’s quite a ways into the month……
Jupiter (planet of expansion) has been retrograding since late August. It is now at station – which means it has reached its furthest point of backwards appearance – and unfortunately this is when we feel it the most. So is it forcing people to be more aware of ‘family’ presence this holiday season? (because there isn’t any ‘extra’ money kicking around). Is it forcing people to perhaps hand-make some of their special gifts this year instead of simply buying ‘stuff’? I have a number of clients who actually have chosen to pool their money and instead of buying gifts for each other, they will purchase a goat & some chickens for people in Africa so a family will be able to have milk & eggs for the rest of the year. Isn’t this a positive turn-around?
“When times get tough – the tough get going” is an old saying. Perhaps we have become a bit too commercialized and selfish. The Universe is asking us to look at our spending habits by restricting our flow of money. There is a huge concept that people who generally just buy 'stuff'...is simply looking to fulfill something within. Another pair of shoes, another handbag, another dress, another car unfortunately will never fulfill that need. With Jupiter retrograding in Taurus in this past year, it has asked all of us to question: - What really am I trying to fulfill here?
This Jupiter retrograde has really been hellish for early Taurus people (late April) and also for Scorpio individuals (late October). They, specifically have done nothing but spin during this Jupiter retrograde. And I won’t even comment on people who have been trying to work through this retrograde who has their Moon in early Taurus – it has sent them on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

It amuses me when people tell me they will refuse to change - - doesn't matter if you 'want' to or not - the Universe keeps evolving....and pulls you along with it!
CANADA AND THE JUPITER TURN-AROUND
The astrological chart of Canada has Pluto at 15 Deg Taurus so the retrograde has depressed a lot of decisions that the government has been trying to make. Once Jupiter turns and we enter a new year, I believe you will see big leaps forward for Canadian decisions. Will be interesting to watch Canada when we get to March/April because it shows that Canada creates an ending with a trade partner – and I also believe there will be some major ‘tax’ decisions made.
NORTH KOREA EVENT:
We heard this morning of the death of North Korea’s leader, so I immediately went to check the astrological lineup that would promote this kind of loss. My first indication of any kind of major loss is generally around an eclipse of some kind and that was the first place I looked: November 24th we had an eclipse at 3 Deg Sag. North Korea’s moon is at 2 Deg Sag. This automatically tells us there will be some emotionalism - often within a year (anything connected with the moon represents emotionalism) and right now we have Uranus (planet of unexpected events) highlighting that exact same point. It’s amazing the amount of information an eclipse can show us when it relates to Mundane astrology (political astrology).
I do understand that his son now steps up to the reign…but there is another huge planetary alignment for North Korea somewhere around late February…stay tuned for this event. Will there be some kind of revolt to try and de-throng this new leader? Or...will this new leader now want to lead the country in a truly different way than his Father? This will become very clear in the early part of 2012.
