EMBRACING THE NEW ENERGY OF 2011
Once upon a time there were three little pigs. There comes a time in every pig’s life where they just know that it’s time to leave home. And as any good Mom would do, their Mom gave them very good advice about how to build their new homes. “Build it strong so it has a good solid foundation. Make sure it is well thought out and will withstand the winds that will blow!”
OK…OK…so you all know how the story goes. Piggy number one builds his house out of straw and piggy number two builds his out of sticks. Piggy number 3 remembered to “listen to your mother!” and so he built his with a solid foundation of bricks and mortar. His house could withstand any winds that should blow his way. His brothers…well…not so much!
And so the theme for our upcoming year of 2011 will be around the story of the 3 Little Pigs. We will be entering into a 4 Universal year. A 4 Universal year brings with it an undercurrent which forces us to get organized in every aspect of our lives. Can you feel it yet? Is this new energy wafting its way into your house of straw or sticks?! It’s not too late to lay down some bricks you know!
The autumn is always a time when we collectively feel the energy of the Universal year fading away. We all intuitively know that we are entering into a new energy and this often makes us feel a little restless. The 4 Universal Year has already started nagging us to get our affairs into order. Be more responsible. Save your money. Make some improvements to your straw house and build a better foundation for yourself.
Many of you have heard me say that when you are in a “Personal” year of 4 you may feel a bit stuck. The reality of it is that you are able to focus more so in a year of 4 than any other year. So even if you are not in a “personal” year of 4…we are ALL going to be going into a Universal Year of 4 in 2011. This means that we will ALL have the ability to focus on anything our minds choose to focus on and we will ALL be under the influence of the energy of the 4. To add to this energy we are entering into the year of 2011 which provides the master energy of the 11. The 11 energy will force many people in power to deliver many important messages. This will be a year of global restructuring. There will be lots of little piggy’s renovating their straw houses!
Now here’s where it gets tricky. You’re sitting in your house that you built out of straw and the wolf is banging at your door screaming “let me in! Let me in!” So what do you do? Likely you sit there and shake in your boots because you’re too busy thinking about how you don’t have the money to pay the wolf and you are afraid that your bills will never be paid…and worse yet the wolf may blow your house down!
Let me let you little piggy’s in on a big secret. In its infinite wisdom the Universe gives us this gift of focus in a 4 year. So your job is to focus on what you DO have in your life and to take every bit of energy you have to take the focus off what you DON’T have! We are human…or piggy’s…and it’s natural for us to focus on what we don’t have and what we have not yet accomplished. We naturally like to achieve and so we tend to dwell on a sense of lack in our lives if we have not accomplished our goals yet. It’s the “have not mentality” which is so common in a year of 4. We get a brand new prescription for our vision in the year of 4 and what do we do with it? We focus on everything we don’t have or haven’t done. This is our year to harness that energy and put it to good use!
As I said earlier, there is an energy that prevails in a 4 year that causes us to look at our lives and asks us to take steps to restructure it. If you don’t see a positive future in what you are doing right now then the year of 4 will surely make you rethink your direction in 2011. It’s a half way point in the 9 year epicycle where the fun is over and the work and responsibilities will be felt. It’s a great year to re-establish balance in your life if it has been lacking.
I have already been observing how businesses are re-evaluating their structures this fall. There have been many changes as I’m sure a lot of you have either been witness to or have directly been affected by. Companies are re-aligning themselves by tightening up their belts. There will be layoffs for sure but this is a necessary step in securing a productive and positive future for all of us. Change is always scary but when we resist change we are acting from a place of fear. Fear is the place we go when life feels out of control.
I challenge you to resist the fears you may feel as we are all influenced by the energy of our upcoming year of 2011. Change is necessary for our growth. Change is exhilarating! Change shakes it up and makes it different and leaves us feeling so proud of ourselves for having embraced it! Change gets us moving into more positive directions! Consider what you need to change in your life and what direction you want your future to move in. This is your chance to build a strong brick foundation for yourself and a time when you’ll be able to tell the wolf to go pound sand!
It is my fondest hope for you all that you resist the temptation to fall into the theme of “struggle” that the 4 year is so famous for. The greatest value in a Universal or Personal year of 4 is that incredible improvement we experience in our ability to focus. Make it count! Put this gift to good use! Resist the trap that we commonly fall into and rise above it! This gift of focus only comes around once in 9 years. What are you trying to manifest in your life right now? How can you best utilize this new energy? Will you choose to waste it focusing on what you have not achieved or will you grab hold of it and put it to more productive use? This is rocket fuel people! Sprinkle it on everything that is good in your life and I promise you will experience new positive growth while you travel through the Universal Year of 4.
