‘Tis The Season of Change
Each year, at this time, I like to write a review of what the closing year brought us and what the forthcoming year is proposing to bring. I do have a confession to make. Every time I write an article it is because the universe has been kind enough to answer my plea for inspiration. Don’t get me wrong here! I could write and talk for days! I just want to be sure that what I write is of interest and importance to my readers! So when I feel the need to write an article I always ask the universe to help me.
While I was driving into town the other day I heard a song by one of my favorite artists. I was so captured by the lyrics. My apologies to the fellow I nearly rear ended. I was just so moved by the gift the universe had delivered. I marveled at how closely this song captured the vibration of this past year and the message that accompanied it for 2012.
As many of you already know, we all experience a very personal yearly vibration that dramatically influences our journey during any given year. We refer to this as our “personal year vibration.” We are also collectively influenced by a universal year vibration. This vibration will affect us to a lesser degree, but understanding its importance will help our personal journey tremendously.
2011 has been a 4 universal year vibration. A 4 vibration tends to bring with it a feeling of scarcity and lack. It is a year that many of us have felt trapped and unable to move in positive directions. The media has had a hay day this year with all the news around gas prices, unemployment, government cutbacks etc. How were you personally affected this year? I’ll bet you were affected plenty; if you faithfully watched the evening news or read the paper on a daily basis. But how do I stay informed if I don’t turn on the news or pick up the paper? I wondered that for a long time too. I have however discovered that I can stay well informed without the added media hype. I have learned that anything of any kind of magnitude and importance will be discussed somewhere. I don’t live totally under a rock! Anything I need to know will make its way to me without my purging myself in doom and gloom and low vibrations every day.
A 4 universal year is not all bad. It definitely had its positive moments. Plans for hospital expansions, new sports facilities and the announcement that Halifax received the Ship Builders Contract are just a few of the many positive moments we shared. So, can you see a trend here? A 4 vibration is all about building foundations. It’s a year where we can focus on our futures much more productively than any other year. I’d say Nova Scotia made great use of this year!
So if 2011 was a year around focus, foundation building and feeling somewhat limited in our resources, what will 2012 bring?
2012 is a 5 universal vibration. With this brings a feeling of freedom but most importantly it will provide us the necessary vibration to change patterns that need to be changed. What have you been holding on to that is no longer serving you well. Are you unfit? Do you carry too much weight? Are you in a dead end job? Is it time to make a move in your home or possibly relationship status?
2012 will assist us all with change regardless of what personal year we are in. This vibration promises to “shake it up and make it different!” Be prepared for global unexpected events. You will likely see the market place opening up and this “have not mentality” lifting. People will feel more secure in spending their money. There will be a more optimistic attitude felt globally. The news will bring lighter stories of human interest but it will also bring us some colossal unexpected events as well. This is the sort of vibration that volcanoes, tsunamis and earth quakes prosper in. It is a time when we will likely see lots of unexpected changes within our government world leaders. Some will unexpectedly resign and others may even be fired or exposed.
And so how does this all tie into the song I mentioned? Melissa Etheridge wrote a song called “Light a Light.” When I heard this song I was certain that there was no better way to acknowledge the lessons of 2011 while embracing the need for change in 2012.
If you are familiar with her work you already know that Melissa is a very heart felt soulful writer. Like the rest of us she has come through difficult times but has somehow found the faith to rise above them. Even though she is considered a “rocker chick” she is one of the most spiritual composers the world has ever known.
